The Kaua‘i courthouse is closed today due to storm conditions. All court matters set for Monday will be continued to another date. The public is advised to contact the courthouse when it reopens for more information regarding their case.

As a result of the closures, the Chief Justice has issued an order extending the filing deadline for documents due on July 27 in the appellate, First Circuit (O‘ahu) and Fifth Circuit (Kaua‘i County) courts. All documents due to have been filed shall be deemed to have been timely filed if they are filed by July 28.

Anyone with a court date Tuesday should contact their attorney. Individuals without attorneys should call before coming to court:

District Court: 808- 482-2645
Circuit Court or Family Court and Legal Documents: 808-482-2330
Traffic Department: 808-482-2355
