Kūpuna hours will be offered at the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) starting Wednesday.

The kūpuna hours will be from 7-8 a.m., Monday through Thursday, throughout the month of July as a pilot program. The designated timeframe will allow residents ages 65 and over access to DMV services. The program is designed to help stop the spread of COVID-19 to Kaua‘i’s vulnerable population, while still providing county services.

During these dedicated hours for kūpuna, no appointments will be needed as customers will be seen on a first-come first-served basis. However, kūpuna are advised to arrive no later than 7:45 a.m. to ensure service. Road testing will not be offered during this time.

Updates to kūpuna hours will be announced as needed.
