Update at 5:38 p.m. Feb. 13: A man was found dead Feb. 13 near the Kukuiolono Loop Trail in Kalāheo. Kaua‘i police identified the man as 33-year-old Noa Howatt of Lāwa‘i, who was reported missing and last seen Feb. 11.

No foul play is suspected. An autopsy is pending to determine Howatt’s cause of death.

Kaua‘i Police Department extends its heartfelt condolences to Howatt’s family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.

Original post from 3:39 p.m. Feb. 12: Kaua‘i Police Department is asking the public if anyone might know the whereabouts of a 33-year-old Lāwa‘i man who was last seen Feb. 11.

Noa Howatt is 5-foot-8, weighs about 165 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a gray jacket and dark-colored surf shorts.

Anyone with information about Howatt’s whereabouts is urged to call Kaua‘i Police Department dispatch at 808-241-1711.
